Match report from today's encounter against Manchester by coach Alan Anderson:

Our first game of the super 5s turned out to be a close encounter, with only 8 players due to the date of the event being changed and players already committed and illness meant we only had 8 players, hardly ideal to play the team who finished top after the first round of matches.

A good controlled start, strong defense and positive attack saw us lead 4-1 before ending up 6-4 lead at half time. A few lapses on concentration at the start of the 3rd allowed them back into the game at 8-6 before we fought back hard, but eventually lost 11-9. A good team performance and sets us up to play Cheltenham tomorrow
