Portobello travelled to Sheffield this weekend to play their next 2 matches in the BWPL Division 1 matches. They would face Manchester on Saturday followed by Lancaster on Sunday.

It was a poor start for Porty against Manchester, going down 5 - 1 in the first period due to several counter attacks from the English side. Porty then went on to win the final three quarters and they were level pegging midway through the 4th. But Manchester took the win 11 goals to Porty's 10.

It would be a repeat performance for Porty on Sunday. A poor start led to them being down 6-1 against Lancaster after the 1st period. Porty reduced the deficit to just 2 goals midway through the 4th but Lancaster scored two more to win by 14 goals to Porty's 10.

The Porty team will be looking to sharpen up their first period performances for the remaining matches if they are to have a chance of finishing within the top 5 before the league split at the mid-point of the season.
