Porty came away from this weekend's BWPL matches in Sheffield with two convincing wins.
On Saturday they won the "Scottish derby" against Caledonia by 13 goals to 7. Porty went 5-0 up by the mid-point of the second period and closed the game out from there.
On Sunday they would take a 27-7 win over penguin. The boys ran through the penguin defence with strong counter attacks. Ivan Losa bagged a magnificent 12 goals!
These results promote Porty to 5th position in Division 1 and the team are looking forward to final event in the first round at Cardiff in two weeks time. They'll meet Welsh Wanderers, Bristol and Cheltenham and a single win would see Porty safely into the Super 5s, but coach Alan Anderson intends to treat all of these as 'must win' matches.
